Madill and Drummond are Good & Ready

The creative duo responsible for Juniper Park’s rise over the last decade have opened their own creative solutions business, Good & Ready.

Alan Madill and Terry Drummond are adopting a “lean agency” approach—working directly on creative projects and putting together teams of trusted freelancers hand-picked to meet specific client needs.

In other words, a couple of deeply experienced, highly accomplished and respected creative guns-for-hire with a great network of industry experts at their disposal.

The concept is new-ish but not original, they acknowledge. Other shops have embraced similar models in recent years, typically started by agency vets who grew tired of the big-agency world and imagined serving marketers in new ways.

But, it is the right model for marketers trying their best in a challenging environment, said Madill. It’s “really tricky” to be a CMO these days: not only are they under enormous pressure to perform well in a short period of time, but they’re often forced to do so with smaller budgets and less experienced teams.

“I don’t think today’s marketer has to work with a big agency to get what they want,” added Drummond. “You don’t need an agency, you need a brilliant idea.” Check out some of the work from Madill and Drummond before they were Good & Ready – David Brown
