Five Canadian entries shortlisted in Outdoor Lions

The Message from Cannes Lions 2019, brought to you by…

The Outdoor Lions shortlist was released on Saturday morning and of the 103 entries officially from Canada, five made the list.

Rethink Toronto has two separate entries on the list: “Pride Shield” for Fondation Emergence (see below), and “Pass the Bill” for Leaf Forward—rolling papers for the cannabis business accelerator printed on Bill C-45, the bill that legalized cannabis in Canada.

After already appearing on the Innovation shortlist, Grey Canada is on the Outdoor list for the diabetes detection device “The Puck” in the design for promotional use category (see below).

Leo Burnett is there for “Billboard” for the Museum of Contemporary Art, and John St.’s “The Pizza Patio Set” (top) for Boston Pizza is also in contention.

“Just do it HQ at the Church” for Nike, was entered by Momentum New York but Momentum Toronto is on the credit list for “Idea creation.”

Cossette’s Carolos Moreno is the on the Outdoor jury and the winners will be reveal at the first awards gala of the Festival Monday night.
