Who: Nissan, Juniper Park.
What: A new ad for the Nissan Kicks.
When & Where: The video spot is running on TV and digital channels now.
Why: The Nissan Kicks is designed for millennials. The crossover, which was added to the Nissan portfolio only last year, includes features that specifically cater to young consumers—such as Bose headrest speakers, two-tone colour options, Apple Carplay and a 7-inch touchscreen display.
How: The spot combines high energy, cool music, an urban setting and a creative use of bold colours that represents the self-expression so important to many millennial consumers—a young woman, driving to a infectious jam, leaving her mark everywhere she goes. The ad features the young Quebecois actor Sabrina Bégin-Tajeda and the music—arguably the real star of the ad—is Lizzo’s “Better in Color.” Nissan is also giving away tickets to her Sept. 19 show in Toronto.
Quote: “With a great sound system and cool colour options, the Kicks is all about self expression. Our new campaign shows how the Kicks can help you leave your mark on the world.” —Steve Rhind, director of marketing.
