It’s Super Bowl weekend—the most wonderful time of year for ad enthusiasts. By now, most brands have already offered up teaser versions and/or extended cuts of their big game ads, which run the gamut from the touching to the comedic to the just plain silly.
As usual, this year’s crop of ads feature lots of celebrities, with pop-culture references to everything from The Shining to “Old Town Road” and “Hammer Time” (the ’90s revival continues).
Advertisers paid a reported U$S5.6 million for 30 seconds of airtime in the U.S. Super Bowl telecast. We’ve gathered together 30 of the spots that will air this Sunday (last year’s game featured a total of 42 spots), so put aside the next 15 minutes or so to go through them all. Just tell your boss it’s research.
