Today is a big day for The Message. Scroll down a little and you’ll see the first episode of “The Message in a Vodcast.”
Since launching at the beginning of 2019, we’ve wanted to explore video content as a way of sharing The Message and, we hope, connect with our community using something other than the written word.
Every couple of weeks or so, the three of us—David Brown, Chris Powell and Libby Begg—will sit down and talk a little. Our goal is to open up and share more about the stories behind our stories: Why we cover what we do, what we find interesting, and why we find those stories worth talking about. It fits with our primary goal for The Message: Highlighting the stories our community finds interesting enough to talk about and share with their friends and colleagues.
We’re also going to have a little bit of fun with some pop culture trivia, like how many Real Housewives franchises are there, the name of Andy Cohen’s son, and who is the biggest star on TikTok (this week’s challenge). We have no lofty goal with this, other than to provide a little lighthearted entertainment. It’s fun to have fun.
And while we say that “The Message in a Vodcast” is about the three of us that make up the team at The Message, we absolutely could not be here without our new partnership with Blue Ant Plus.
Owned and operated by Blue Ant Media, Blue Ant Plus is a standalone, full-service studio, producing branded content entertainment for nationally and globally recognized agencies and clients. Since launching in 2017, its many projects have ranged from video, audio and written content, to design, branding, influencer programs and social media.
Our publisher Libby said it perfectly when announcing the vodcast’s launch earlier this week: “Blue Ant Plus has been building its name and gaining momentum for its breakthrough short- and long-form digital content… They were an obvious first choice for us to help launch this great new chapter for The Message.” So a very big thank you to our friends at Blue Ant Plus, and we’re looking forward to working together in the weeks and months ahead.
Finally, we want to hear from you. Please let us know what you think about “The Message in a Vodcast” and anything else we’re doing here at The Message. Just click on our names to send us a note: David Brown, Chris Powell, Libby Begg.
