Creative agency No Fixed Address has hired Liz Mowinski as its first North American president, working across the agency in both Canada and the U.S.
Her appointment reflects NFA’s goal to deliver the best client solutions across Canada and, increasingly, in the U.S., said co-founder and co-CEO Dave Lafond.
“We needed someone who knows how to look at the bigger picture,” he said. “All the chess pieces. Holistically. And can build with integration at heart and a vision that is global.” For NFA, those chess pieces include creative, media, production, analytics, experience, design, and digital.
Mischief and Courage—which are part of the broader No Fixed Address network, but operate independently from NFA the agency—can tap into what Lafond calls their “integrated grid of shared services,” but both have their own senior leadership teams, including presidents.
Mowinski, who was most recently head of brand at agency The Many, will be based in Chicago, but will go “where she’s needed,” said Lafond. “As our name indicates, we don’t answer to geographies—we answer to client problems… We have staff all over North America, with hubs in Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, and San Francisco.”
Over the past 18 months, NFA has been working with clients including Diageo’s Loyal9, Greenfield Meat Co., Alpha Foods, Article Furniture, and Duolingo. Some clients sit solely within NFA, said Lafond, while some are shared with Mischief.
“The word ‘integration’ gets thrown around a lot in this industry. But not many do integration well,” said Mowinski in the release. “Since birth, NFA has proven a leader in what it means to be a truly integrated agency.”
