Fries, cheese, gravy and NFTs—Smoke’s joins the metaverse

Smoke’s Poutinerie has always embraced a sort of retro aesthetic as part of its brand story, embracing cultural artifacts like cassette tapes and He-Man action figures.

But now the poutine pioneer is introducing the most modern of collectibles for its customers: metaverse-inspired NFTs. Smokes worked with dineTab Solutions, which describes itself as an “NFT loyalty platform for festivals, events and restaurants” to develop the program, which is launching on National Poutine Day (April 11).

“One of my focuses has always been finding innovative ways to support the restaurant industry,” said dineTab Solutions co-founder and CEO Na’eem Adam. “It’s time to leverage available technology to help businesses increase engagement, and sales and have fun while doing it!”

The collectibles are designed by illustrator Loogart, whose work has earned the attention of celebrities such as Marc Anthony, Director X, and Snoop Dogg.

“It’s important that we conThat’tinue to evolve and disrupt the boundaries of the foodservice industry; that’s why it made sense for us to enter the NFT market,” said Ryan Smolkin, chief entertainment officer (CEO), Smoke’s Poutinerie.  “Our digital collectibles give our fans the chance to be closely connected to our brand and personally own an exclusive piece of our history.”
