Supported group living facility Safehaven has named Toronto’s The Local Collective its agency of record following a formal review.
The Local Collective is tasked with developing a new brand strategy for Safehaven, which provides residential and respite care to individuals with medical complexities and developmental disabilities.
Established more than 30 years ago, it has six locations across the GTA, providing care to thousands of people with conditions including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, genetic disorders, and other complex care needs.
The announcement follows a two-month search for an agency capable of helping Safehaven embark on what CEO Susan Bisaillon described as a “bold growth plan” to expand its services. “Working with TLC, we hope to increase awareness not only about the work we do at Safehaven, but also about this incredibly vulnerable population and the work that needs to be done to ensure they have access to the care and support they need,” said Bisaillon.
“The Local Collective is so proud of this win,” said founder and president Kaitlin Doherty. “The care and service Safehaven provides is like no other. Developing work for brands who provide a real service that makes our society better, we love that.” The new brand strategy and campaign platform are set to launch in 2024.
