With a handful of new clients added to its roster, Anomaly has hired a new creative director and announced several promotions.

After spending the last five-and-a-half years at Zulu Alpha Kilo, Vinay Parmar joins the agency as CD. He got his start in the industry as a copywriter at Blammo, and also spent time with Sandbox Advertising and DentsuBos before joining ZAK. He’s worked on brands like Harry Rosen, HomeEquity Bank, and Avrio Health, and also been an instructor at Miami Ad School since 2020.

“Vinay will help push the boundaries of the creative department,” said Dave Douglass, ECD and partner at Anomaly, in a release. “He comes to us at the perfect time as we continue to build on our strong foundation, and raise the bar across a set of recently acquired and foundational clients.”

Recent new wins for the agency include Chewy, Windstream, and Nom Noms World Food.

“We’ve had a lot of exciting and strategic growth this year into new markets and really interesting new categories,” said Candace Borland, CEO and partner. “And not just to our client roster, but amongst our team as well.”

In addition to hiring Parmar, Krista Colangelo has been promoted to head of creative operations, while Lexie Hoffmeyer, Brena Johnson, Sasha Barkans, and Cristina Piñeros have all been given associate creative director roles. Alexa Espinosa’s promotion to group business head rounds out the recent changes.
